3D dock to 2D dock with terminal - [mac os x]

You can turn your 3 dimensional dock into a 2 dimensional dock using terminal by just following these simple instructions.

You can copy and paste these steps (or type them) into the terminal.

Step 1 - Open terminal
Step 2 - type the following: defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
Step 3 - hit return then type the following: killall Dock
Step 4 - Then hit return and you have your 2D Dock!

If you don’t want it later on and want to make it 3D again, repeat the steps.

Step 1 - Open terminal (or you can hit return to make it on a new line)
Step 2 - type the following: defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO
Step 3 - hit return then type the following: killall Dock
Step 4 - Then hit return and you have your 3D Dock!
